Having Fun
For most locals, it was loads of fun for them and their children. It was really nice to see that the parents made sure that the children did not look at the Sun when it was not behind clouds. I think that most parents had just as much fun as their kids

Yangshuo Partial Eclipse
Last Updated
22nd Jul, 2009
On Wednesday the 22nd of July, 2009, Yangshuo also witnessed a partial eclipse of the sun.
As some people were having breakfast, they soon noticed that it was getting darker. By about 9am many people were out with custom made filters and some with home made versions trying to see the Moon block out the Sun. At around 9.30am, the Moon had blocked out about 85% of the Sun.
The weather in Yangshuo was partly cloudy which meant that at times it was too bright to see the eclipse with the naked eye, but when the clouds came over, everyone was able to see the Sun in the shape of a crescent Moon. It was a great way for all the locals and visitors to see this eclipse
We took some photos and added them below
